This course will identify the most common errors and omissions claims filed against real estate agents and ways to avoid these mistakes. We will review the benefits, and protections for the agent, of a broad liability umbrella policy. Furthermore, we will distinguish between what accidents and perils are covered and not covered in various policies.

Listing Language

This course will explore the demographics of today’s sellers so that the agent can better understand their clients who may be looking to sell. This course will allow the agent to become familiar with the market and seller attitudes toward the market as a whole. We will also examine the types and contents of a listing agreement and the process in place when listing a property. Upon completion of this course, the agent will understand the value and benefit to the seller that pricing a property can bring.

Intro to REALTORS® Property Resource

This course is an overview of REALTORS® Property Resource (RPR), the nation’s largest property database, exclusively for REALTORS®. This introductory course will demonstrate the basics of RPR, from creating your account to navigating the database. We will outline various features of RPR that can be used to better serve your clients and differentiate yourself from the competition.

NAR® Code of Ethics

This course meets the standards for the 2022 NAR® Code of Ethics Requirement – Cycle Seven. This course will review the history of the Code of Ethics as it relates to its origins, its influence on state licensing laws and its establishment of arbitration as the monetary dispute resolution process between REALTORS®. Finally, we will apply the REALTOR® Code of Ethics Articles to everyday real estate practices.

There are thousands of market forces at play in determining the value of a single piece of real estate. This course explores theories behind why the market reacts the way it does and why buyers and sellers make certain decisions. The agent will gain knowledge of how the rise and fall of interest rates can cause a drastic effect on home prices as well as home demand. This course will explore the tragedy of the commons in determining whether a decision is in the best interest of a single person or for the entire community. Finally, we will suggest strategies to help clients reach an agreement with their counterpart in a negotiation.
