Self-Care While Taking Your Real Estate Classes

With the pandemic and the holiday season here, it's easy to stress. And, while your online courses are important, we're sure that they don't make it any easier. Because we invest in your success, we also know that sometimes we all need help with our self-care. Discover more with The Lancaster Institute and see how you can make your online real estate classes less taxing, no matter if you are in Texas, Alabama, or Tennessee.

Knowing When to Take a Break

For many of us, this year feels as if it hasn't moved at all. Feelings of stagnation and being home more have caused many of us stress or made us feel as if we have to work harder than before. However, sprinting towards the finish line isn't good for the brain. In fact, overworking and stress can cause burnout. While it may be hard to identify burnout before it happens, you should take action when you do identify it.

The easiest way to do this is to take a break. Go do something that you've been putting off for a while. Go have a nap. Take a day off. Whatever you need to do to bounce back from your burnout. Thanks to our courses having a specific schedule, you can easily plan out your breaks and avoid burnout in the future.

Organization Is Key

When we're busy, it's easy to get frazzled. However, it all eventually catches up to us. We begin to forget things, miss classes, or prioritize different things in our lives. The thing is, these problems won't seem as difficult if you just have organization in your life.

A great way to start with this is by getting a calendar. Once all your obligations are written down in front of you, things begin to look a lot less cluttered. In fact, it actually seems manageable. So don't panic and miss out on obligations anymore. Find yourself a good pocket planner.

As an entirely online school, we can't pass up the opportunity to say that the right app could even help you manage your life. Of course, everyone's preferences are different, so it might take a while to find the right app for you. Additionally, because we want to make things easier for our students, we keep notes and recordings available to our students to look back on. So if you're concerned about not having any notes, don't worry. We have you covered.

Get a Routine

For some of us, being busy also equates to not taking care of ourselves. This can extend even as far as not eating or sleeping as much as we should. A good way to combat this is by creating a routine for yourself and falling into it, so there's a smaller chance of you forgetting.

Of course, that can be easier said than done since the day of a real estate agent is ever-changing. However, planning ahead is a good way to combat that. Once we fall into a routine, our lives feel much easier to manage, and we make sure to take care of ourselves.
