Safety With Our Online Real Estate School

No matter if it’s online or in the real world, we all need safety in everything we do. This includes the real estate industry. Although we would like to trust every single person we come in contact with, not everyone has good intentions. However, that doesn't mean we need to be on edge all the time and never trust anyone. Because we have your safety in mind, we collected some helpful information this month. Join your favorite real estate school for REALTOR® Safety Month no matter if you’re in Birmingham, Mobile, or anywhere else in Alabama!

What is REALTOR® Safety Month?

So, what is REALTOR® Safety Month and why is it important? The National Association of REALTORS®, or NAR for short, has made September the month of safety in order to spread awareness and tips to other real estate professionals.

As real estate professionals, sometimes there are unsafe moments. It doesn’t happen often, but you need to be prepared to protect yourself if it does. And while some may feel that they aren’t in any danger due to their age, gender, or size—safety is for everyone. Now, don’t panic. That’s why we have this month and NAR to help!

Staying Safe With NAR

As an online real estate school in Alabama, it's our job to understand the internet. However, as professional individuals in the modern world, it is also your job to understand the internet to a certain degree. After all, with more and more technology coming out, many things are possible—even if those things are unsavory. So the best choice of action would be to protect your digital assets as much as you can. For example, you wouldn’t want sensitive client information leaking anywhere it shouldn’t. Thanks to work from NAR, we have an assortment of materials available to help you begin.

NAR also has more resources on the traditional, more physical side of safety. For example:

  • Tips to protect your office. It’s easy to let your guard down in the office. But you never know when someone plans to take advantage.
  • Parking lot safety. Even though it’s a public space, a lot can happen in a parking lot.
  • How to hold a safer open house. Open houses are just par for the course! If we don’t do our part to make them safer, our clients wouldn’t put their trust in us.

And there is much more available, free for use! Utilize their webinars, articles, and more to take a hold of your safety in and out of the field.
